For Ricoh and Kyocera multifunction printers, including those badged Lanier, Nashuatec, Gestetner, Rex-Rotary, UTAX, Triumph-Adler and Olivetti d-Copia.
Winkie prepares the PC and tells the printer where to send the scans. Then it keeps watch: if the PC changes address, it updates the printer by itself.

The problem it solves
Many office multifunction printers send scans to the PC with a method Windows 10 and 11 no longer accept. Scanning stops working and the printer is otherwise perfectly fine.
The printer can, however, deliver the files to a small receiver on the PC. Doing that by hand means installing a server program, opening the firewall, creating a user and writing the PC’s address into the printer. And doing it again every time that address changes.
Winkie does all of that in one install, and the service it leaves on the PC takes care of the address for good.

How it works
Three steps from download to the first scan. The wizard walks you through; the service stays.

Download and install
A signed installer for Windows 10 and 11. It asks for permission once and leaves the Winkie service on the PC, which receives the scans and keeps an eye on the address.

Activate and configure
Scan the QR with your phone, or enter the licence email and serial. Winkie creates the scan folder and adds the destination to the printer’s address book.

Scan
Press “Scan” on the printer: the file lands in the folder. Winkie sees it, and only then counts one use. If something is wrong, diagnostics say what, not “generic error”.
And when the PC changes IP address
The service notices and rewrites the destination on the printer with the new address. With nobody logged in, without restarting anything. The panel says «indirizzo aggiornato» (address updated).
